During the 2021 Colombian national strike, Cristal Kimaná (singer and songwriter) and I connected across continents, driven to create a song that responded to the intense unrest and impunity. La Noche Roba Mi Sombra merges Afro-Colombian rhythms, synthesizers, kuisis, and guitars into a poignant, healing piece that imagines a brighter future through forgiveness. Our collaboration fused our distinct styles and voices, resulting in a song that remains powerful and relevant as it seeks to inspire and unite listeners.
